Prestashop troubleshooting

Something is broken. We find out why.

PrestaShop problems have a habit of appearing at the worst possible moment. An update breaks the checkout. A module suddenly stops working. The Back Office throws an error nobody has seen before. Or everything seems to work — except for that one thing that actually matters.

This is exactly the kind of work we like.

CT4M combines hands-on PrestaShop experience with an AI-assisted development team. Specialized AI agents help us inspect code, analyse logs, trace dependencies and test possible causes in parallel — while the diagnosis and solution remain under human control.

The result is a troubleshooting process that can be remarkably fast without becoming careless.

Faster debugging. Less expensive debugging.

Traditional debugging often means paying a developer by the hour to search for the problem.

We prefer to spend those hours solving it.

Our AI-assisted workflow allows us to analyse considerably more code, logs and possible interactions in a short period of time. This is particularly useful when the problem involves several modules, overrides, hooks, database queries or changes introduced by an update.

That efficiency is reflected in our pricing.

No fix, no fee.

For suitable troubleshooting cases, we work on a simple principle:

If we cannot solve the agreed problem, we do not invoice you for the troubleshooting work.

Before we start, we define what “solved” means and agree on the scope and price. If we fix it, you pay the agreed amount. If we don’t, you don’t.

No open-ended debugging bill for an unsolved problem.

What we can investigate
  • PrestaShop errors and unexpected behaviour
  • Module conflicts
  • Problems after PrestaShop or PHP updates
  • Back Office and Front Office issues
  • Checkout and order-processing problems
  • Performance bottlenecks and unusually slow processes
  • Database-related problems
  • Hooks, overrides and module interactions
  • API and third-party integration problems
  • Bugs in existing custom modules
  • Problems that are difficult to reproduce or only occur under specific conditions
  • Security incidents and malware – compromised PrestaShop installations, suspicious or injected code, web shells and unexpected server activity, including investigation, cleanup and closing the route that caused the compromise. Please note: Our “No fix, no fee” policy does not apply to security incident investigations.

AI-assisted. Human-controlled.

We don’t believe that using AI automatically makes software better.

Using it well does.

Our AI agents can inspect large codebases, compare versions, analyse logs and systematically test hypotheses at a speed that would previously have required considerably more development time. But architecture, priorities, verification and the final decision remain human responsibilities.

That combination allows us to work differently: less time searching, more time understanding and fixing.

We don’t stop at “it works again.”

A quick workaround can be useful. A fix whose consequences nobody understands usually isn’t.

We try to identify the actual cause, keep changes as small as reasonably possible and avoid unnecessary modifications to the PrestaShop core. Where appropriate, we document what was changed and why, so that the next update doesn’t turn today’s solution into tomorrow’s problem.

Have a strange PrestaShop problem?

Send us a short description of the problem, your PrestaShop and PHP versions, and — if available — the relevant error message or log.

We’ll tell you whether we think we can solve it before the meter starts running.
